Business After Hours: Discover potential customers,

have to offer - all in a relaxed social setting.
Annual Banquet: The capstone event of the year, the Annual Banquet recognizes
Chamber members for outstanding service and community leadership.
Leadership Orangeburg County: Brings tomorrow’s leaders together with
the leaders of today for 10 informed sessions concerning what Orangeburg County
has to offer.
Fall Golf Tournament: Your opportunity to enjoy a day of fun and recreation
with other county movers and shakers.
Chamber Committees: Help shape the direction of the Chamber and increase your
company’s visibility by participating in Chamber committees and activities.
Community Involvement: Strengthen Orangeburg County’s economic base
and quality of life by joining other leaders in forging economic, business, and
community development projects. Become involved in community events such
as the South Carolina Festival of Roses or the Orangeburg County Economic Development
Partnership.
Presidents’ Roundtable: Held bi-monthly for plant managers and designated
representatives to discuss concerns and issues affecting industry. The
Roundtable is co-sponsored by the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce and Orangeburg
County Development Commission.
Marketing Support
Business Referrals: The Chamber receives thousands
of calls per year from consumers seeking information on products and services. Chamber
members receive top priority for referrals from Chamber staff.
Membership Directory: Listings in the Membership Directory puts the name of
your business in the hands of thousands of people who are looking for products
and services. Distribution includes newcomers, mail inquiry responses,
circulation to the 18,000 plus subscribers to The Times and Democrat, and all
Chamber members who look to each other for many of their business needs.
Increase Credibility: Chamber membership offers increased credibility for
your business. The Chamber membership decal is immediately recognized throughout
the community as a sign of credibility.
Ribbon Cutting: Gain visibility for your new business through ribbon cuttings. The
Chamber will provide a Dignitary/VIP list, scissors, and a Chamber representative
will attend your function.
Information Resources
Staff: Our knowledgeable staff welcomes
your inquiries and is ready to answer questions and provide information.
Chamber Visitor Information Center: The Chamber provides display space for
brochures about your business and services thousands of walk-in visitors each
year.
Onward Orangeburg County: Mailed to all members monthly, the Chamber’s
newsletter gives timely information about meetings, programs and events as well
as news of local business activities and new members.
Continuing Business Education: Learn more about effective customer service,
quality management and topics, which may impact your business, through special
seminars co-sponsored by the Chamber and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
Special Mailings: The Chamber keeps members informed of special programs,
events and meetings through mailings and emails sent to designated representatives.
Statistical Data: Your source for general statistical data, the Chamber can
provide members with information relating to the business climate of Orangeburg
County.
Chamber Pac: A quarterly discounted service to members where their flyers
are mailed to all Chamber members at a minimum cost. This includes special
sales, services, coupons, etc.
