Creating Community Leadership
The Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2014 Leadership Orangeburg County program sponsored by Claflin University.
Leadership Orangeburg County (LOC) is an exciting and informative program for our community. LOC has enjoyed over twenty years of success and produced over 500 graduates. It is a program of people motivated by commitment, involvement, understanding, and enthusiasm in the leadership of the community, both present and future.
The program begins in January and runs through October. The sessions are normally held on the fourth Thursday of the month from 8:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Tuition is $500.00/members and $750.00/non-members for the ten (10) month program. The first session will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton. LOC is open to any person living or working in Orangeburg County. Questions should be directed to the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce.

Orangeburg County Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm
The 2013 Orangeburg County Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th at 1:00 p.m. The parade will follow its traditional route down Russell Street from Seaboard Street to Magnolia Street The theme of this year’s parade will be “The Sights and Sounds of Christmas”. The parade is for the enjoyment of the entire community and to celebrate the holiday season. Participants should carry through with the theme, and all units should be decorated appropriately.
